The Azerbaijan Cultural Centre was created in Paris with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Paris to strengthen promotion of Azerbaijan  in France further, control it from a single centre and build its activity more efficiently. On September 19, 2012, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his  spouse Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the Centre.

Located in the centre of Paris, near the Eifel Tower, the building of the Azerbaijan Cultural Centre is a historical building constructed in 1904. With three thousand square meters of area, the centre has been provided with all conditions and necessary equipment to hold various meetings and events.
