Imam Hussein Mosque in Yasamal district

The Imam Hussein Mosque in Narimanov district of Baku has been restored with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 

The mosque was built in 1890. Basic repair and restoration works started here in 2017. On October 23, 2018, First Vice-president of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of the mosque.

 

Area of the mosque is 300 square metres. 400 people can pray here at a time. A ceremony hall for 130 people has been constructed on the territory of the Imam Hussein Mosque.
