President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva visits humanitarian boarding school named after A.S.Makarenko in “North” dress settlement

On February 1, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva visited humanitarian boarding school named after A.S.Makarenko in "north" dress settlement of Azizbeyov district, took interest in problems and circumstance of school where 560 pupils study.


Expressing gratitude to Mrs. M. Aliyeva for her good deeds, Director of the school Farhad Zeynalov informed the esteemed guest that built in 1953, it now has very conditions for training of 560 children and work of 56 teachers. In addition, he said, 20 refugees and displaced persons are living and working here.


Special program had been developed to study humanity, and the Ministry of Education supplies the school with textbooks. Children were going from here to military lyceum named after Nakhchivansky created by our nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev, after possession of deepened program of Russian language. It is not required now because classes are given in Azeri language in lyceum.


10th class pupil Nermin Letifova, presenting flowers to President of Foundation, said:


- Dear Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva welcome to our school. We are proud of and grateful to You. We are sure that we always will remember this day and will feel big honor recalling it.


11th class pupil Huseynkhan Akhundov cordially congratulated Mrs. Aliyeva on Day of Youth, wished her health and long life and said poem he dedicated to our great leader.


Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO Mehriban Aliyeva expressed satisfaction with the good order created at the local hostel and the lounge, viewed sport hall, dining room and kitchen, and attended English lesson. She also met with students who had won wrestling competition, as well as A-students and members of the children`s organization, and wished them every success in future. Mrs. M. Aliyeva was finally informed that the Ministry of Education had allocated 145 million AZM for repair work that is going to start soon.
