Chairperson of Bucharest Writers Association Horia Girbea writes a book on Azerbaijan due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Chairperson of Bucharest Writers Association Horia Girbea will write a book on Azerbaijan due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

H.Girbea said to journalists it came to his mind after he was familiarized with Azerbaijan. According to him, he has obtained a lot of materials on Azerbaijan that will be reflected in the book.

The Romanian guest said: ‘After visiting a graveyard in Guba I understood progress, development and civilization I saw in Azerbaijan is the result of big troubles and tortures indeed. I was touched by this so much’.

The writer emphasized the support by Heydar Aliyev Foundation to realization of his initiative. He noted in frame of his visit to Azerbaijan realized due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation he met with people from political, cultural and social spheres to get information necessary for the book. According to the writer, who started writing the book in Azerbaijan, the book will not include data and remarks only, and will be very interesting.

He underlined the major goal in writing the book is to acquaint his countrymen with realities, past and present of Azerbaijan.

Talking of some similarities in history of Azeri and Romanian nations the writer expressed confidence that his book will be interesting for Romanian readers. ‘Studying the materials relating to your country I discovered many similarities between Azeri and Romanian nations. But history of Romanian nation was not as tragic as that of Azerbaijanis. I think, there are a lot a Romanian reader will learn from realities of Azerbaijan’, Horia Girbea said, adding ‘My visit is coming to an end. I will go back home in a few days but I leave a part of my heart in Azerbaijan forever’.
