First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva honored with “Service to the Turkish world” award

Mehriban Aliyeva, Azerbaijan`s First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, has been honored with the “Service to the Turkish world” Award.

The decision came from the Board of Directors of the Turkish Writers and Artists Foundation (TURKSAV). Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva was honored for the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s humanitarian programs for refugees and IDPs from the Armenia-occupied lands, as well as for her contribution to preserving and promoting material and non-material cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani Turks.

The award-giving ceremony will take place at the Turkish Embassy in Baku next month.
