President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva sends letter of congratulation to participants of the 4th Gabala International Music Festival

The letter says:

Dear Festival participants,

Since the old times Azerbaijan has always been faithful to its tolerance traditions, it united and gave peace to the people of various nationalities and religions, permanently promoted and contributed to the culture and inter-civilizations dialogue, and since the recent times our country has also become known as one of the spaces for international mucis and arts festivals, conferences and exhibitions.

This is also exciting that these events which bring mutual enhancements to various cultures gain more and more power with each year. Just a few months ago our country hosted the most important music competition of Europe - the Eurovision-2012 Music Contest and once again the music united the people of various  nationalities, religions and political views who have gathered in Baku.

In 2009, by holding the international Music Festival in one of the most picturesque places of Azerbaijan - in the city of Gabala, we have established a new tradition in history of our national musical culture. The festival helps to expand international cultural relations, to promote our rich music culture to the world community, to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the nations; this festival has already turned into traditions and its international reputation grows from year to year.

I believe that just like every year this festival where many outstanding musicians of the world participate will become an unforgettable mucis holiday and will always remain in our memories as another meaningful page in the history of our musical culture.
