Heydar Aliyev Foundation organizes the allocation of financial aid to the development of the School of African Heritage

In the framework of the international humanitarian action, €50,000 was allocated in April 2012 to the development of the School of African Heritage (EPA) based in Porto Novo, Benin at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation led by First Lady of Azerbaijan, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO Mehriban Aliyeva.


The Heydar Aliyev Foundation is the 24th donor for EPA. Thus, during 13 years of its functioning, the amount raised for EPA has now reached €2,484,204.


Director General of ICCROM Stefano De Caro and Director of EPA Fallo Baba Keita sent letters of gratitude to Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for this contribution.


In the letters of gratitude, Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva is invited to pay a visit to Benin to be more closely familiarized with EPA and become a member of its 9 Top Representatives Council, which comprises also former president of France J.Chirac, Secretary General of International Francophone Organization A.Diouf, former UNESCO Director General K.Matsuura, former president of Italy C.A.Ciampi, former UN Secretary General J.P. de Cuellar.
