Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov is honoured with a state award of Hungary

Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov was honoured with a state award of Hungary – “Commander’s Cross” Order – for his services to extending relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary and implementing cultural and humanitarian projects in this country.

 

Presenting the award, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Siarto read the Resolution of the Hungarian President on conferring Anar Alakbarov on the Commander’s Cross Order. The minister highly appreciated the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation towards deepening the relations between the two countries and nations.

 

Emphasizing the friendly attitude of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Foundation’s Executive Director Anar Alakbarov towards Hungary, Peter Siarto thanked for the initiative and support provided for construction of the Rehabilitation Centre for disabled children in Budapest. Saying “the attention shown by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation towards physically disabled children in need of care is of importance not only to Hungary”, the minister emphasized the significance of such projects implemented by a country with the Muslim faith in a Christian country: “By these projects, the Foundation manifests that everyone in the region in the world at large is able to live in peaceful environment and help each other.”

 

Addressing the presentation ceremony, Anar Alakbarov thanked for the award and talked about the projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in healthcare, social, scientific, educational and other spheres. Anar Alakbarov noted that, while working in Azerbaijan or in a foreign country, the Foundation always pays attention to every human’s need, in particular, those in need of special care. The executive director said the Heydar Aliyev Foundation will widen the scope of the projects it  started to implement.
