The Heydar Aliyev Foundation sends aid to victims of the fire occurred in the Russian city of Kemerovo

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has sent aid to families of the people died in the fire occurred in a trade centre in the city of Kemerovo of the Russian Federation, and to those injured there.

 

The aid has been delivered at the instruction of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.

 

For centuries, friendship and kind neighbourhood relations have bonded Azerbaijan with Russia. Both the peoples have supported one another at difficult times.

 

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, with a view to sharing the pain of the tragedy victims, the grief of the victims’ families and providing support to those who suffered from the fire, decided to provide aid. The government of Azerbaijan supported this initiative of the Foundation.

 

On March 30, the aid was delivered to victims and families of the deceased, by being sent to Kemerovo in a special aircraft.

 

Deep condolences were expressed on behalf of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, and the people of Azerbaijan to the families of tragedy victims, mentioning that our people was ready to support them.

 

Employees of the Foundation, coming to the memorial area, put bunches of flowers, to revere the memories of the tragedy victims.  

Delivering aid to families will continue today too.

 

Over 60 people have died in a fire occurred in the trade centre “Zimnyaya vishnya” in the city of Kemerovo on March 25. Majority of the deceased are children.
