A Child Festival is held in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center

On June 1st, a Child Festival was held in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center.

 

Entertainment zones according to various circles of interest were created at the festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Heydar Aliyev Center, and the Ministry of Science and Education.

 

Children of our heroes who fell for the Homeland, inhabitants of children’s homes, as well as children in need of special care were among the invitees. A programme with presents and entertainment was organized for them in a special zone.

 

With a view to ensuring that children spend their time efficiently, all necessary conveniences were created at the festival, which aroused great interest in the capital residents and guests of the city. Not only children but also their parents expressed their satisfaction with the festival.

 

Interesting and different entertainments and enlightening programmes were presented in zones created on various themes and types of entertainment in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center.

 

Within the framework of the festival were held various concert programmes with participation of children and youth; young talents demonstrated their skills, interesting performances took place by dance groups and music ensembles, and quizzes were organized.

 

In the “Agrarian Zone”, participants were provided interactive information about agriculture and nature. With enlightening information about plant life and their impact on the environment made children themselves familiar in the “Botany Zone“. Children were given master classes to give them a chance to gain an experience in this filed.

 

Considering children’s interest in the animal world, a “Zoo Zone” was created at the festival.

 

The State Puppet Theatre also was invited to this year’s festival. In the zone placed at the theatre’s disposal, children were shown the fairy tale “Goghal”.

 

Another innovation at the festival was the participation of the Baku State Circus. Animators and circus masters pleased children with interesting show programmes, while acrobats, clowns and magicians showed special tricks.

 

There was also a fashion ground at the festival. In this zone, children and youth were exposed to design, floristics and fashion by vocational education establishments, and demonstrated their creativity and became familiar with various design ideas.

 

In the “Museum Zone”, the National Carpet Museum gave master classes on carpet weaving.

 

To gain knowledge on cosmos and astronomy, as well as stars and planets by means of planetarium was possible in the “Planetarium Zone” of “Azercosmos”.

 

The Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF) organized, within the festival, a “Safe roads/Rally” for children.

 

Today, a reading hour was held in the “Reading Zone” of the Center’s park.

 

On the International Children’s Day, a “Healthy Children Zone” functioned at the festival in order to draw attention to ensuring that future generations grow up healthy. Coupons were given here for the medical examination of children.

 

With a view to increasing children’s physical activity, various competitions and sports games were held in the “Relay-race Zone”, and side-shows were built. Interesting competitions were organized in the “Badminton Zone“.

 

So, the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center was, in the course of the day, placed at children’s disposal both as a space for entertainment, and also for creativity.
