Inauguration of the new building constructed for the secondary school named after Ikram Aghayev in Nabatkend village of Saatly district took place.
Head of the Saatly District Executive Authority Elmir Baghyrov, representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Elvin Aslanov, deputy head of the Mil-Mughan Regional Education Department Rabil Shahbazov, the school staff and representatives of the public attended the inauguration of the new building constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The regional correspondent of AZERTAC informed that those speaking at the opening ceremony talked about the care and attention shown by the state towards education. It was noted that new school buildings have been constructed in a number of remote villages recent years, and a series of buildings were renovated. The building of the secondary school was constructed in 1937. As the building had fallen into disrepair during the period past, a new building was constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Construction of the new building, meant for 624 pupils, started in May 2024. The four-storied school complex consists of 4 buildings. Here are classrooms, laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, rooms for informatics, military training, first aid and labour training, a wardrobe, a library, a canteen, an assembly hall, a sport hall, and an outdoor sports ground.
The school has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, with subject rooms and laboratories being equipped with visual aids.
Renovation and greenery planting works were performed in the front yard of the school, asphalt cover was laid, decorative shrubs and trees were planted, and an up-to-date illumination system was installed.
