A new school building constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Samukh is commissioned

The new building of the secondary school in Alyushaghy village of Samukh district constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was commissioned.

At the ceremony held on this occasion was talked about the care and attention shown by the state towards education. Significance of the projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, led by First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva, aiming at improving education’s quality was talked about, mentioning that such projects covered, along with the capital, also regions of the country. It was underscored that works carried out by the Foundation towards constructing new education institutions and reconstructing those unfit for use are contribution to bringing up the young generation with wider knowledge, supporting the state’s policy in the sphere of education.

It was brought to attention that there was a necessity for constructing a new building for the secondary school named after Mirza Fatali Akhundov in Alyushaghy village of Samukh district, which was over 70 years old. So, built in 1953, the education institution had fallen into disrepair. In 2024, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation started the construction of a new school complex consisting of 4 three-storied buildings. Here are provided laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, rooms for informatics, the STEAM centre, military training, first aid, labour training, as well as a preschool education room, a library, a canteen, assembly and sports halls, and an outdoor sports ground on the school’s territory. The school has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, while subject rooms and laboratories have been equipped with visual aids. Renovation and greenery planting works were carried out in the backyard, and trees and shrubs were planted.

It is the school’s staff and pupils who are the happiest for the commissioning of the new building. The school’s pupil Turan Asadzadeh said that this was one of his most joyful days: “There is no comparison between the previous and new buildings. Classrooms are spacious and light, and we have rooms for physics, chemistry, computers etc. The school has also a sports hall and a sports ground. We’ll try to study well and be worthy children of our Homeland”.

Azim Hashimov too, as his classmate, was very pleased with the new school building: “The old school building wasn’t like this one. Everything has been taken into account in the new building so that we could receive good education. We’ll try to study well and get excellent marks. All rooms are beautiful; I like the informatics room most. Here, we’ll have a chance to master computer knowledges better”.

The school’s principal Musa Asadov said that the construction of a new building was a gift for the teaching staff. “We are inspired by the new, up-to-date school building. We believe that henceforth, the outcome of the education at our school will be better” said the principal.
