Open heart surgeries performed at the Jalilabad Treatment and Diagnostics Center on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Open heart surgeries are performed at the Jalilabad Treatment and Diagnostics Center since June 20. Carried out on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation due to support of SOCAR, the 6-day humanitarian action is implemented by the cardiosurgical team of the Central Oilmen Hospital led by Rashad Mahmudov, the Candidate of Medicine, Head of the Cardiovascular Diseases Center of the Hospital. 

Performed for the first time in Jalilabad region, these operations will cover 11 persons, 8 of which, including children suffer from inborn heart defect and have not been cured for long. In frame of the action, live videoconference ‘Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases Today and In The Future’ will be held.
