Kazakhstan's "KAZINFORM" agency writes about the Baku Forum on the theme of ‘Expansion of Women’s Role in the Cross-Cultural Dialogue’

The International Forum ‘Expansion of Women’s Role in the Cross-Cultural Dialogue’ recently held in Baku has widely been covered in the press across the world. KAZINFORM Agency of Kazakhstan has posted a large article on the Forum.


The article says the participants of the Forum have widely exchanged views on the role of women in the dialog of cultures. The event was initiated by Heydar Aliyev Foundation led by Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of Azerbaijan, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP. 

 

Organized due to support of UNESCO and ISESCO the Forum was attended by first ladies of a number of countries, women from Europe, Africa, America, Middle and Southeast Asia, South Caucasus countries.

 

According to the article, as the real Eastern beauty spouse of the Azerbaijani President Mehriban Aliyeva personifies grace and intellect. This attracts attention of the world mass media. Grown in the family of intellectuals M.Aliyeva is fluent in 5 languages.

 

Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference Ekemeleddin Ihsanoglu presented in the end of the Forum a diploma on the status ‘Special Envoy of OIC for Humanitarian Issues’ to First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva.

 

Participants of the Forum supported the initiative of Azerbaijan to widen the role of women in the cross-cultural dialogue and hold the next meeting in Baku in 2010.
