‘Honolulu Advertiser’, influential newspaper in the US, Covers International Baku Forum ‘Expansion of the Role of Women in the Cross-Cultural Dialog’

According to General Consulate of Azerbaijan to Los Angeles, USA, the June 19 issue of ‘Honolulu Advertiser’, an influential newspaper in the Hawaii State, has published the article by Jin Ward, Member of the International Relations Committee of the Chamber of Lawmakers of the State, MP, about the International Baku Forum ‘Expansion of the Role of Women in the Cross-Cultural Dialog’ he attended.


In the article titled ‘Moslem women deliver open statement on the supplementary rights: Education and dialog are parts of the mutual understanding’ the author mentions the international forum attended by scholars, diplomats and high-ranking persons invited from over 50 countries, basically Moslem women was held in Azerbaijan.

 

Trying to compare Azerbaijan with State of Hawaii Jin Ward characterizes it as the multinational country where Moslems, Jews and Christians live together.

 

The author writes located at the crossroads of civilizations Azerbaijan is a part of the Silk Road and this country is the model in direction of promotion of women rights.

 

Quoting from the speech of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, the participant of the International Baku Forum ‘Expansion of the Role of Women in the Cross-Cultural Dialog’ states women in the country which were entitled to elect and be elected before the US have a lot of rights.

 

J.Ward writes the International Baku Forum ‘Expansion of the Role of Women in the Cross-Cultural Dialog’ in which the Baku Declaration calling all the states in the world to assure education and dialog that are major factors for further deepening of mutual understanding between West and East, man and woman, Moslem and non-Moslem was adopted will play important role in promotion of women rights.
