The Albanian Church of Saint Virgin Mary in Nij settlement of Gabala is restored
On November 7th, opening of the Albanian Church of Saint Virgin Mary, located in Nij settlement of Gabala district, took place after restoration. The Albanian Church of Saint Virgin Mary has been basically restored by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the framework of the project “Azerbaijan-Address of Tolerance”.
This is the second church repaired by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Nij settlement. In 2006, the Jotary Alban-Udi Church too was repaired.
Currently, there are 3 churches and 2 mosques in Nij settlement, a small model of tolerance.
Chairperson of the Azerbaijan Albanian-Udi Christian religious community Robert Mobili thanked, on behalf of the community, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its leadership for the restoration of the Albanian Church of Saint Virgin Mary.
