A unique event in the history of the modern Azerbaijani literature, the Vagif’s Poetry Days used to start from Gazakh, the poet’s birthplace, and end on Shusha’s magnificent Jydyr Plain, since that time until 1991.

After the city of Shusha was liberated from the Armenian occupation by our victorious Army under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, Vagif’s Poetry Days started to be held again on its homeland – in the cultural capital.
