The 3rd Gabala International Music Festival organized by Heydar Aliyev Foundation was closed

The 3rd Gabala International Music Festival organized by Heydar Aliyev Foundation was closed, 5 August. 


MP Fattah Heydarov, Art Director of the Festival, People’s Artist, Rector of the Baku Music Academy Farhad Badalbeyli addressed the closing ceremony. They said the 23-day event was the festival of friendship and culture and expressed gratitude to Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, who initiated the realization of the Festival in Gabala, one of the most magnificent places in Azerbaijan. The Festival featured international contest of young pianists, master classes, chamber music and orchestra concerts, classic music soirees and a mugham concert.


The speakers mentioned the Festival, which was realized thanks to the care, President Ilham Aliyev, the worthy successor of great leader Heydar Aliyev’s political course, renders to culture and art, demonstrated Azerbaijan’s nature, hospitality and music.


‘New Russia’ Symphonic Orchestra, American cellist and conductor, the Festival’s Art Director Dmitri Yablonski and Russian pianist Boris Berezovski closed the Festival with symphonic poem Les Preludes and piano and orchestra concertos No. 1 and 2 by Liszt.
