President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the New Year celebration organized for children at the Buta Palace

Heydar Aliyev Foundation held New Year celebrations at Buta Palace for children from children homes and boarding schools, martyr, refugee and IDP families, orphans, children deprived of parental care and schoolchildren distinguished in education.

 

December 30, Azerbaijan`s First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP Mehriban Aliyeva attended along with her daughter Arzu the next celebration, talked to children and were photographed with them.

 

First, film reflecting participation of national leader Heydar Aliyev in different years in children’s celebrations on World Azeris Solidarity Day and New Year, the care by President Ilham Aliyev and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva to children was shown.

 

Santa Claus lighted the New Year Tree with his ‘magic pipe’.

 

In the party, which lasted more than 3 hours, actors did their best to cheer children whose faces reflected feeling of gratitude to Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its President Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva for presenting this wonderful festivity to them. Majority of participants was children from refugee and IDP families, living at children homes and boarding schools, needing daily care.

 

Children were entertained by famous singers, amateur bands of schools, dance groups, young talents, clowns, magicians.

 

Children and parents highly valued warm attitude and care by employees of the Foundation.

 

Mehriban Aliyeva addressed the festive event.

 

Children thanked President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva for the care on behalf of children of Azerbaijan and were photographed with her.

 

Every child was presented a gift by Heydar Aliyev Foundation and a new CD of 16 child songs by Azeri composers.

 

To assure safety of 3000 children attending Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s New Year celebrations, necessary measures have been taken upon recommendation by First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, buses allocated to take children to Buta Palace.
