Heydar Aliyev Foundation arranges New Year festival for children at Gulustan Palace

Heydar Aliyev Foundation arranged on December 28 at Gulustan Palace the New Year Festival for pupils distinguished in education at different secondary schools of Baku, children from children homes and boarding schools, refugee and IDP families, orphans and children deprived of parental care.

Despite the real winter weather, over thousand of children were present at the festival. All seats were occupied.

First, a video on the meetings national leader Heydar Aliyev held in different years with children in World Azeris Solidarity Day and New Year holiday was shown.

Congratulations by Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, at the end of a documentary, on the care of the Foundation to the children homes and boarding schools, to the children left pleasant impressions on children and the adult accompanying them.

Performance by masters of art, young talents, amateur child art groups enriched the event. Children dancing, admiring the miracles were very happy as performances of famous singers, clowns, magicians were addressed just to them. Interesting contests were organized in the festival, winners were granted prizes and presents by Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

One of the most interesting features was arrival of Santa Claus and Snow Girl in the palace.

Actors in national dress and mask from Baku theatres did their best to make children happy at the event that lasted over 3 hours.

Security actions had been taken upon request and recommendation of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva to assure safety of participants of the event considering cold weather and heavy snow. Attitude by employees of Foundation to participants, care to everyone, high culture was appreciated by children and persons accompanying them.

At the end of the festival every participant was given holiday present reflecting logo of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

New Year Festival, which is arranged for the third year left unforgettable feelings on children.
