The Sixth Film Festival “Azerbaijani Family” starts in Baku

On February 3, the inauguration of the Sixth Film Festival “Azerbaijani Family”, a joint project of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the State Committee for Family and Child Affairs and the UN Population Fund, took place at the State Culture and Art University of Azerbaijan.

Within the Festival, holding of a photo competition on the theme of “From picture to life” is expected.

The project aims at drawing the public’s attention and efforts to lifting women’s status in the society, creating favourable conditions for strengthening family’s educating function, arousing more interest towards family values, as well as enriching the fund consisting of video materials designed for explanation of and overcoming existing challenges associated with family issues, and carrying out enlightenment works. Materials complying with the Festival’s purposes and ideas (short and full feature films, a series of TV programs, social trailers and photos) will be chosen by a jury consisting of eminent persons of science and culture from the materials submitted to the organizing committee, and awarded diplomas and valuable presents.
