The Heydar Aliyev Foundation developed an album dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Habil Aliyev, People’s Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Heydar Aliyev Foundation has developed an album dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Habil Aliyev, People’s Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, great master, virtuoso kamancha player.


The album includes a book and 4 CDs consisted of folk, composer songs, mughams and songs, which have been composed by the player himself, performed by the master have been released too. Released in Azerbaijani and English the book is rich with photographs of Habil Aliyev taken with national leader Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev and President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, as well as covering different periods of life and creativity of the player, taken in events and tours, with his colleagues and family.


The book begins with words ‘Everyone can become an engineer, doctor, teacher, merchant, everyone can play tar, kamancha but not like you do. So, you can be proud for choosing this profession, and we are proud of kamancha player as you’ national leader Heydar Aliyev said about Habil Aliyev. This page includes a copy of diploma of Order ‘Shohret’ awarded to Habil Aliyev upon Decree of May 28, 1997 of national leader Heydar Aliyev.   


Copy of the letter of congratulations addressed by President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva to Habil Aliyev is included in the book. Congratulating the master on his 80th anniversary and being awarded the Order ‘Istiglal’ M.Aliyeva mentioned his special role in development of Azeri music and expressed confidence he will live and create for the happy future of our nation.


Articles ‘Habil Aliyev’, ‘Habil Kaman’ in the book talk about life and creativity of the player. It values Habil Aliyev as an outstanding master of not Azerbaijan only but of entire East, the whole Turkish world. H.Aliyev has decently represented the Azerbaijani music in countries such as Turkey, Iran, Egypt, Bulgaria, Algeria, Italy, France, USA, England, Tunis, Syria, India, Japan. The great master has virtuously and very originally performed folk songs as ‘Sary Gelin’, ‘Garagile’, ‘Dilberim’, ‘Apardy Seller Sarany’, ‘Sona Bulbuller’, ‘Sarykoynek’, ‘Yakhan Duymele’, ‘Tello’, ‘Iravanda Khal Galmady’, tens of composer songs such ‘Ana’, ‘Ay Gyz’ (J.Jahangirov), ‘Sen-Sen’ (E.Tagiyev), ‘Hekim Gyz’ (S.Rustamov), ‘Jujelerim’ (G.Huseynli), mughams ‘Segah, ‘Bayati-Shiraz’, ‘Chahargah’, ‘Dilkesh’, ‘Dugah’.


The book says beside performing mugham and folk songs, Habil Aliyev has composed amazing songs. He is author of over 15 songs. His songs such as ‘Gulum Yatsyn’, ‘Shehla Gozlum’, ‘Vefa’, ‘Ilk Mehebbet’, ‘Gulesen Gerek’ have been sung by prominent singers.


Touching upon pedagogical action of Habil Aliyev the book notes not engaged in pedagogical activity he is the teacher of a lot of kamancha players, as the art of Habil Aliyev is great and undeniable.
