A ceremony in Berlin devoted to the 20th anniversary of regain by Azerbaijan of its state independence

A solemn ceremony was held in Berlin, the capital of the Federative Republic of Germany, devoted to the 20^th anniversary of regain by Azerbaijan of its state independence, September 29, 2011. Organized at Germany’s History Museum, following the initiative of and with  support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany, the ceremony was attended by First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and First Lady of Germany Bettina Wulf.

Within the framework of the event,  a presentation of the “Azerbaijan” edition in German was held, and samples of the Azerbaijani carpet making school, people’s art and music instruments were displayed. Books, booklets and other publications of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on various themes associated with Azerbaijan were also displayed at the exhibition.

Masters of Azerbaijani art performed at the ceremony with a grandiose concert program. After the concert, guests were presented samples of the Azerbaijani cuisine. At the end, participants of the event were presented various publications of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation related to Azerbaijan.
