A New Year festivity for children

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation organized a festivity for children in need of care on the eve of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year.

Children being educated at various children’s homes and boarding schools, those with impaired health condition and in need of special care, as well as children of martyrs fallen for the Homeland were invited to the festivity called “Miracle of the New Year”.

Fairy tale characters welcomed children at Gulustan Palace, decorated in the festive mood. By means of Face Art, children gained a chance to revive any miracle character.  

The child festivity started by a demonstration of a video film. Images talking about the care once shown by National Leader Heydar Aliyev – the greatest friend and protector of children, and his celebrating, at various years, the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year holidays with children were watched with great interest. The video film included also interesting moments from the meetings of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva with children.

The show presented to children, full of entertainment, was based on friendship, benevolence, and mutual aid, showing that people with benevolent intentions have always won.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been approaching problems of children deprived of parental protection, and those with impaired health condition, as well as children of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan with special attention, trying to always surround them with care.
