On 18 November 2014, an event devoted to the presentation of “Baku-2015” first European Games took place at Chyraghan Palace of Istanbul, with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and assistance by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkey.
Azerbaijan’s First Lady, Chairperson of the first European Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony.
Within the framework of the event, a photo-exhibition about Azerbaijan and an exhibition called “We Together” devoted to “Baku-2015” was arranged. Works by 20 sculptors from Azerbaijan have been demonstrated at the exhibition comprised of bronze statues. The guests were presented publications of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Joined by representatives of Turkey’s public and political circles, as well as persons of culture and sport, the event continued with a concert programme by a jazz group headed by Elchin Shirinov.
